Courtney grew up in Calgary, AB where her love for native flora and fauna came to life. Now based in Edmonton, she works as a wildlife rehabilitator and is studying Wildlife and Fisheries Biology. After more than a decade in technology consulting and program management, she shifted paths to follow her passion for conservation and education. With Wild Alberta Classrooms, Courtney brings her unique blend of experience to life, helping students connect with Alberta’s native species through immersive, land-based learning.

Marissa grew up in Invermere, B.C., where her love for nature blossomed. She pursued a career in early childhood education, initially running a daycare program starting her own family and opening a day home in Alberta. Marissa is excited to blend her two greatest passions: fostering young minds and nurturing an appreciation for our backyards. She believes that educating the next generation is vital for conservation efforts and is dedicated to instilling a love for the environment in all students.
